The NOAA CBIBS Patapsco buoy has been redeployed and renamed the NOAA CBIBS Baltimore Harbor buoy to better reflect its location. It had been pulled to keep it, and its sensors, safe from potential damage due to icing over the winter.
The buoy is now roughly 8 miles west-northwest up the Patapsco River. Relocating this buoy reestablishes data observations near the former Key Bridge. Data from the Baltimore Harbor buoy is now available via this website and the Apple and Google mobile apps.
